I heard Adonai from the album Mighty to Save by Hillsong when it was suggested by one of our young people. We were supposed to play it for summer youth camp but I was not able to learn the song right away and so we did not have enough time to practice it.

Mighty to Save features songs like From the Inside Out, Take It All and other popular songs from Hillsong United

But as I listened to Adonai by Hillsong, I felt drawn so much to listening to it. The song is very singable and has very intimate vertical lyrics. For the past week, I can't stop listening and singing the song so I want to share the lyrics of the song with everyone.

The lyrics of Adonai are below.

Adonai
by Hillsong

Verse:
I lift my voice
I lift my praise to You
I lift my hands
I lift my worship to You
And I love You more than I can say
Oh I love You more than I can say

Chorus:
Ever I will sing only You will I adore
Glorify my Lord only You will I serve
For the world will fade away
Still my song to You remains
Only You will I adore

Bridge:
Oh I love You always
Oh I love You always

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
I will not be moved
And I'll say of the Lord

You are my shield, my strength
My portion, deliverer
My shelter, strong tower
My very present help in time of need

Whom have I in heaven but You
There's none I desire beside You
You have made me glad
And I'll say of the Lord

You are my shield, my strength
My portion, deliverer
My shelter, strong tower
My very present help in time of need

I like this song because the instrumentation is like a serenade. The song sounds like a love song that is used to serenade someone. In the last chorus, the lyrics "You have" are replaced with 'Jesus, You've' and it reveals Who the love song is for. The lyrics of the song are below.

Deeply In Love
Hillsong Music Australia

In my life You've heard me say
I love You
How do I show you it`s true
hear my heart, it longs for more of You..
I`ve fallen deeply in love with You..

You have stolen my heart
I`m captivated by You
Never will you and I part
I`ve fallen deeply in love with You

You and I, together forever
Nothing can, stand in the way
My love for you, grows stronger
each new day.
I`ve fallen deeply in love with You

You have stolen my heart
I`m captivated by you
Never will you and I part
I`ve fallen deeply in love with You

Jesus, You've stolen my heart
I`m captivated by you
Never will you and I part
I`ve fallen deeply in love with You
